Privacy Policy

N.O.S.E. Notebook ("we," "us," or "NOSE") is operated by Agility Automations. We take your privacy seriously and built this product around the principle that your olfactory profile is yours alone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password (or your social authentication identifier). When you use the app, we collect the fragrance bottles you scan, the ratings and notes you record, the recommendations you accept or dismiss, and the posts you share. Together, this builds your private scent profile.

We do not collect precise location data. We do not access your camera roll except for photos you explicitly select to import. We do not read your contacts or other apps' data.

How we use it

Your data powers three things: the AI vision that identifies fragrances from your scans; the recommendation engine that learns what you wear and suggests what you might love; and the social features that let you share posts with the people you choose. We never sell your data, and we never use it to target you with third-party advertising.

Service providers we use

We rely on a small set of trusted infrastructure partners to operate the service:

• Clerk — authentication and account security
• Neon (PostgreSQL) — encrypted database storage
• Cloudflare R2 — image storage for fragrance scans
• OpenAI — vision identification and recommendation reasoning (your scan images and profile context are sent for processing; nothing is retained for model training)
• Railway — application hosting
• Vercel — landing page hosting

Your rights

You can view, edit, export, or delete your entire profile and history from within the app at any time. You may also request a complete account deletion by contacting us at hello@nose.lab; we will remove your data within 30 days. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or the CCPA, including the right to access, correct, restrict, or port your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except for limited records we may retain to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our Terms.

Children

N.O.S.E. Notebook is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the service, please contact us so we can remove the data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change indicates your acceptance.
